Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise fabrication and welding activities for heavy steel and engineering products.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure proper execution of forging, casting, machining, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Select appropriate welding techniques, consumables, and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.).
  • Monitor production workflow to achieve quality, safety, and delivery targets.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and procurement teams for product development and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with standard hardware specifications (fasteners, bolts, nuts, rivets, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain adherence to safety protocols and quality certifications (ISO 9001, ASME, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgical Engineering.
  • 3–10 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, and machining operations.
  • Strong knowledge of forging, casting, machining, and sheet metal processes.
  • Hands-on experience with welding standards and inspection techniques (NDT, WPS, PQR).
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of industrial standards, tolerances, and hardware specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Welding Engineering (CWI, CSWIP, or equivalent).
  • Experience in heavy engineering / pressure vessels / structural fabrication industry.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
