Job Description

We are seeking welding line supervisors to join our team. A welding line supervisor is responsible for ensuring safety, productivity, cleanliness, and maintenance in their line and surrounding areas at all times.

The line supervisor will communicate and plan with the production manager regarding upcoming orders, time, and resource requirements to ensure timely deliveries.

This is a night shift position, running from 4pm to 12:45am, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required on Saturdays depending on customer demand.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
2. Maintain employee and line productivity through communication, time tracking, and motivation.
3. Ensure equipment is properly maintained.
4. Enforce company policies among direct reports and in the work area.
5. Motivate the team and foster a fast-paced, collaborative, and positive work environment.
6. Resolve problems quickly to keep the line running smoothly.
7. Investigate and document accidents and rework incidents.
8. Monitor and document employee performance.

Knowledge and Characteristics:

1. Proficiency in GTAW and GMAW welding for carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
2. Supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and lead under pressure.
3. Extreme ownership: take control, own your domain, and complete tasks while coaching others to do the same.
4. Adaptability to changing requirements in a dynamic job shop environment.
5. Experience with lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and other philosophies.
