Adjunct Instructor, CEAS Machine/Welding Shop

The University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science seeks applications from Machine Shop/Welding Shop instructors. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis to be included in the general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty are selected on an as-needed basis to teach face-to-face classes and online instruction. Roles may involve teaching two sections of welding lab in the evening and, if available, two sections of welding lab during the day.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise students while they are working in the Machine shop or welding shop and assist with machining, welding, or CNC machining as needed.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in MET or equivalent degree; OR at least 10 years of machining experience
  • Experience in Machining and Welding
  • Knowledge of CNC machining
  • Experience working with and supervising students
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures or a strong attention to detail and safety mindset
