Overview

TTL, a steadily growing engineering design firm – now more than 450 employees strong – is hiring a certified welding inspector in Tennessee and Mississippi. You’ll perform visual inspections of structural welds, structural steel, and coating inspections to ensure work is done right. You’ll prepare daily reports for clients while maintaining proper procedures, accurate computations, and cordial relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of structural welds, structural steel, and coating inspections.
• Prepare daily reports and communicate findings to clients.
• Maintain procedures, ensure accurate computations, and uphold professional relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in reading drawings, plans, and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills and related technology.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and have good driving record. Drug-free workplace.
• Perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to operate aerial lifts and work at heights.
• Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environments.
• Current AWS CWI Certification.
• Structural Steel experience required.
• ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Certification.
• Experience with observing Structural Steel bolting and welded connections.
• Understanding of Special Inspections, tracking what has been inspected, and tracking items noted as discrepancies.
• Ability to explain and interpret code and/or quality control requirements.
