Overview

Coach - Sports Referee at Elevo Learning. After school sports coaching role engaging students through structured games and activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of students through structured games based on the Elevo curriculum.
• Engage students in sports, games, and other activities.
• Serve as a sports referee for sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, flag football, kickball, and more.
• Support kids’ behavioral management needs.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and fellow coaches.
• Lead outdoor lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
• Be a positive role model to build students’ self-esteem and emotional wellness.

About You

• Have experience working with elementary and/or middle school kids.
• Confidently manage groups of up to 20 students with minimal assistance.
• Can improvise, adapt, and take initiative when needed.
• Are approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids.
• Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
• Connect with students and foster positive learning experiences.
• Pay close attention to student needs and adjust activities accordingly.
• Ensure activities run smoothly and efficiently within allocated timeframes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
• 6-12 months of referee experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move constantly to accomplish tasks or move from one place to another.
• Sitting or standing for long periods.
• Occasional running and other strenuous physical activity.
• Ability to move safely on irregular and/or uneven terrain.
