AECOM is hiring: Superintendent - Sports Construction in Tampa

Overview

AECOM Hunt has an opportunity for a skilled Construction Superintendent for an ongoing sports construction project in Tampa, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
• Organize and direct construction and related activities within the assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or multi-discipline project.
• Serve as the primary client contact for day-to-day jobsite activities or coordinate with the client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities within the assigned area of operations.
• Ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Interface with all other administrative field staff, field management staff, and especially the Project Manager in a coordinated effort.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS Engineering, Construction Management or relevant curriculum and 6 years of construction Superintendent experience; or AA/AS and 8 years of relevant experience; or HS/GED and 10 years of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalency of education/experience.
• Construction Superintendent experience.

Physical Demands

• Physical stamina and mobility typical of construction field roles, including climbing ladders and stairs, using personnel hoists, and moving through active construction zones. Vision requirements include close, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Ability to use hands to handle tools and materials; activities may include sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted may be necessary occasionally.

Work Environment

• Work primarily on active job sites with exposure to environmental and job-related hazards. Environments may include proximity to heavy machinery, elevated work areas, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, and potential electrical risks. PPE may be required. Additional duties may be assigned based on project scope and progress.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 years of Construction Superintendent experience.
• Experience on large complex construction projects, including sports, high-rise, or airport projects.
• Experience managing and coordinating/subcontracted labor, construction project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel).
• Client interface and liaison experience; OSHA Construction 10/30 Hour; experience monitoring supplier performance.

Compensation and Benefits

Offered rate of compensation will be based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is USD 85,674 - USD 158,497 per year.
