Overview

Our APTA-accredited Sports Physical Therapy Residency is designed to advance clinical expertise in the evaluation, treatment, and management of athletes across all levels of competition. This immersive 12-month program integrates evidence-based practice, advanced clinical training, and professional development in a structured learning environment.

Program Highlights

• Over 150 hours of 1-on-1 mentoring with experienced sports physical therapists
• Physician shadowing to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical decision-making
• On-field training with professional teams, gaining firsthand experience in acute injury management and return-to-play protocols
• More than 1,500 clinical hours in a sports-focused setting
• Structured didactic education and research opportunities to deepen knowledge and contribute to the field
• Monthly journal club to critically appraise and apply current literature
• Comprehensive 1-year program (January – December) with progressive learning and skill development
