We are currently looking for Amazing coaches who can work a part-time schedule (8-15 hours / week) in the mornings from 8:30-11:30am (M-F) and/or the afternoons from 1-5:30 pm (M-F).

Purpose / Mission

Amazing Athletes is a youth sports enrichment program that focuses on teaching kids ages 18 months to 12 years old the basics of 10 different sports and activities (Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, and many more) with an introduction to nutrition, muscle identification, and development of key motor skills.

We will provide you with excellent training while you start and through each weekly curriculum. You need to have a passion for working with youth.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Learn each week's lesson plans and teach the basics of different sports, activities, nutritional information, muscle identification, and basic motor development skills to kids ages 18 months to 12 years in a positive, high-energy environment.
• Interact with parents, teachers, directors, and children daily and articulate class descriptions effectively.
• Track attendance, keep records of child progress, and maintain positive relationships with everyone.
• Ensure the safety of all participants while having fun.
• Travel throughout the Maryville or Knoxville area to different childcare centers, preschools, and schools to lead classes.
• This is a part-time position. Must be available 8:30-11:30 am (M-F) and/or 1-5:30 pm (M-F).
• Reliability and consistency are essential as we work with young children. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work independently.

Requirements

• Passion for making a difference in children's lives
• Outgoing, fun, and energetic personality
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to local schools with reliable transportation
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods, often outdoors. Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.

Not Required but a Plus:

• Background in fitness or sports (athletics, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, etc.)
• Experience working with children (camp counselor, elementary education, substitute teacher, coach, etc.)
