POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Regional Sports Director, or designated associate, the Sports Instructor teaches assigned sports classes within the guidelines of the Association to ensure quality programs. Responsible for creating engaging learning opportunities for participants from preschool to adult.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Demonstrate and explain basic sports skills being taught.
• Adapt teaching methods to the learning level of each class.
• Prepare the teaching area with necessary equipment and return equipment after class.
• Work with individuals and groups to correct faults, improve self-image, and develop skills.
• Maintain attendance records for classes.
• Follow the designated curriculum to meet program standards and progression.
