MA / Medical Assistant - Sports Medicine

Overview

Job title: Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) in the Sports Medicine clinic at UW Medical Center-Northwest, Seattle. This role supports patient care in a fast-paced sports medicine setting and offers a $5,000 signing bonus for eligible new employees.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
• Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
• Perform injections and point-of-care testing; report abnormal laboratory values
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; assist in transporting patients as required
• Submit medication prior authorizations
• Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and report to the provider
• Act as liaison between patient, family, and providers

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
• 4x9 hour shifts; 7:45-5:15
• 1x4 hour shift 8:00-12:00 (clinic needs may vary)
• Day Shift

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent, or other recognized credential
• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified required or must achieve within 6 months of hire (failure to do so may result in termination)
• Valid American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR

Located in North Seattle, the Sports Medicine clinic treats muscle and joint problems with surgical and non-surgical treatments from board-certified specialists.
