Overview
Join a winning team as a Certified Athletic Trainer assigned to one high school in Newton, Henry, or Fayette County. You’ll work with all sports at that school, from football to track, providing student-athletes with top-level injury prevention, care, and rehabilitation.
One of our schools has multiple state championships in football, so you may find yourself on the sidelines of a championship team!
Responsibilities
- Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for all student-athletes at your assigned school.
- Cover home games and events; travel to away varsity football games (minimal travel otherwise).
- Collaborate with coaches, athletic directors, and healthcare providers to ensure athlete safety.
- Maintain accurate injury and treatment records.
- Promote safe participation in athletics and overall wellness.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in athletic training or related field.
- BOC Certification and Georgia state licensure.
- CPR/AED certification for healthcare providers.
- Strong injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Salary range: $57,000 – $70,000 (based on experience).
- $5,000 sign-on bonus.
- $2,000 annual CEU reimbursement plus coverage for some licensing and maintenance fees.
- Varied hours based on sports season schedule.
