Cheerleader Instructor - After School Program & Structured Recess

About BAM

BAM is a leading provider of After-School enrichment programs, Structured Recess, AM/PM Enrichment Clubs and Summer Camps (Nationwide). Our mission is to provide the essential building blocks that children need to succeed in school and beyond. We achieve this by offering high-quality STEM, Sports and Arts programs, with top-tier instructors, at school locations around the country. Partnerships with public, private and charter schools ensure our programs meet the academic, cultural and athletic needs of students.

Our on-campus programs are offered at schools, making it convenient for parents, while allowing kids to stay in the safety of their school and participate in activities with their friends. Over the past five years, BAM has partnered with over 400 schools nationwide. Over 35,000 students have participated in our after-school programs and seasonal camps!

Job Description

BAM is seeking experienced Cheerleader Instructors who are great with children and passionate about teaching.

In This Role, You Will

Plan and coach on-site after school Cheer programs for K-8 students with an emphasis on teaching character building

Effectively communicate and work collaboratively with other instructors and coaches

Report to your on-campus Site Lead and Program Manager daily

Ensure the safety of program participants by following school and BAM policies and procedures

Display a positive a professional attitude while instructing, communicating with school staff and parents, and working with other instructors and Site Lead

Guide kids to explore cheer related activities.

Expand their imaginations.

Teach kids the fundamentals of different activities from basic to advanced skills.

Teach kids valuable lessons in teamwork.

Qualifications

At least two years of college coursework (48 semester units), an associate’s degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment that meets the requirements of the "Every Student Succeeds Act".

Must be 18 or older

1-2 years' experience in coaching Cheer

Experience and knowledge of Cheer

Passionate about teaching

Ability to work with students grades K-8

Efficient class management skills (groups of up to 20 kids during after school programs)

Reliable transportation

Valid driver’s license or State ID

Background check required.

Available between 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday and availability on occasional Saturdays

Must have a valid TB test within the last 4 years or the ability to obtain one

Ability to lift and carry ~20-50 lbs. on an occasional basis with or without accommodations.

Details

Wage: $23-$25

Job Type: Part-time (approx. 5-6 hours/T-F & 3-8 hrs. on some Saturdays)
