Medical Assistant - Orthopedics/ Sports Medicine

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include:
  • Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
  • Interviewing patients
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
  • Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
  • Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
  • Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers
• Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include:
  • Sending and receiving of patient medical records
  • Facilitating patient referrals
  • Preparing forms for patients

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. The pay scale is $24.58 - $35.36 USD. Pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale.
