Overview

Kernodle Clinic, an affiliate of Duke Health Integrated Practice, is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Family Medicine physician with a Sports Medicine fellowship and sports medicine experience to join our community-based practice with locations in Burlington, Elon, and Mebane, North Carolina.

The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, community-focused, and proficient in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of MSK injuries. The candidate should be comfortable with ultrasound-guided injections, fracture care, sports and spine injuries. MSK ultrasound experience is a plus.

About the Practice

Kernodle Clinic is Duke’s largest community-based multi-specialty practice with 102 providers in 16 medical and surgical specialties. The clinic has a strong relationship with Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC), part of the Cone Health System. Orthopaedics procedures are performed at two ARMC locations: the main hospital in Burlington and an outpatient surgery center in Mebane. The Orthopaedics Department currently includes five orthopedic surgeons, one Family Practice Sports Medicine physician, and five physician assistants, with a busy practice that delivers over 20,000 office encounters and more than 1,500 surgical procedures per year.

Schedule and Team

Office hours are Monday–Thursday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Future Orthopaedic Walk-In Clinic hours may vary by community and patient needs. The department operates on the Burlington and Mebane Medical Campuses. The office team includes APPs, receptionists, surgical schedulers, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified medical assistants, and a dedicated practice manager.
