Tarkett Sports is looking for a Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our Tarkett Sports team. You will contribute to the planning, design, implementation, communication, administration and maintenance of compensation policies and practices aimed at enabling Tarkett Sports to attract and retain the best talent to drive great business performance.

Compensation and Benefits manager (C&B manager) manages an organization's compensation and benefits programs for Tarkett Sports. This role ensures that compensation is fair and competitive and aligns with the Tarkett Sports business goals.

This person will work on all company-wide compensation programs and processes and serve as a Compensation Business Partner for our Tarkett Sports division. The role will report to our Director, Compensation and Benefits for Tarkett North America and Tarkett Sports divisions with matrix reporting line to the Human Resources Director – Tarkett Sports N. America.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Compensation Partner for our Tarkett Sports division, acting as the main point of contact for compensation requests and HR inquiries from all levels of the business, collaborating with the HR Director for Tarkett Sports N. America.
  • Lead annual compensation processes for assigned groups, including merit, bonus, promotion/market adjustment salary recommendations, ensuring departments work within budgets, and year-end document creation and distribution.
  • Support development, rollout, and maintenance of market-competitive job catalogs and compensation structures aligned to Tarkett framework to determine proper placement of employees within salary ranges.
  • Support development of compensation program communications to management and employees, including annual compensation programs.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Managers and Talent Acquisition on C&B matters.
  • Provide salary recommendations based on internal and external market data and new-hire offers.
  • Support various compensation-related projects as needed (e.g., Pay Equity, Performance Management, implementation of compensation HRIS modules).
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis for special studies, legal and leadership requests.
  • Conduct job analysis and review position descriptions for appropriateness and confirmation of FLSA classifications.
  • Manage budgets: prepare company budgets and track compensation budget.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state wage regulations, as well as internal policies.
  • Scope includes: Primary U.S. and Canada (95%); secondary UAE, UK, Australia (5%).
  • Manage vendor relationships with outside partners, such as benefits vendors, insurance brokers, and investment managers.
  • Advise and educate HRBPs: inform employees of changes and developments related to benefits.
  • Lead acquisition compensation and benefits: analyze cost, quality and compliance of acquired company benefits programs and develop project plans to integrate acquired employees into Tarkett Sports benefit programs; map acquired company jobs to Tarkett’s job catalog and to Tarkett variable pay programs.
  • Assess existing variable pay programs and make recommendations for improvement, including commission structures and programs; engage third parties as needed to ensure design and cost effectiveness of commission programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Compensation and Benefits.
  • Bachelor's degree required; additional HR certifications are a plus (SHRM-CP, CCP, CEBS).
  • Advanced proficiency with Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong collaborator and customer service oriented: ability to work with leaders and HR with basic compensation knowledge, with potential education and training to the business on best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects to on-time completion with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Negotiation skills and leadership abilities.
  • Aspiring and capable of growing into larger C&B roles in the future.
