Phillips Dental Care Center is hiring: Dental Hygienist in Findlay

Overview

Hours: Part-Time or Full-Time options available (2-4days/wk). No weekends.

Busy, progressive private dental practice in Findlay, OH, looking to add another enthusiastic Dental Hygienist to our team!

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms & implement infection control policies and procedures
• Review patient health and dental history and update as necessary
• Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients
• Perform scaling, root planing, and selective polishing for patients as appropriate
• Polish restorations
• Take radiographs as prescribed by dentist
• Apply cavity-preventative agents such as fluorides and sealants
• Sterilize dental instruments and stock/organize treatment rooms
• Chart/document patient visits clearly and accurately in our electronic medical record system
• Educate patients on oral care and provide instructions following dental procedures in an understandable and professional way
• Schedule patient appointments at the end of each visit
• Help in other areas of the office as necessary
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in continuing education and any required training necessary for the position
• Create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable patient environment

Required

• Must be licensed to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Ohio
• Must have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Dental X-ray License valid in Ohio

Preferred

• Experience providing prophylaxis and taking X-rays
