What You’ll Do
- Warmly welcome and seat patients, creating a positive and comfortable experience
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all hygiene procedures run smoothly
- Review and update patient health histories, chart progress, and reinforce home care routines
- Perform cleanings, scaling, and root planing for patients with periodontal disease
- Apply fluoride and other preventative agents to promote healthy smiles
- Examine gums, identify signs of gum disease, and communicate findings clearly to patients and doctors
- Educate and motivate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care
- Assist with sterilization and support team efficiency
- Schedule appropriate re-care appointments to encourage continuity of care
- Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused environment
What We’re Looking For
- Associate’s Degree from an ADA-accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current State Licensure and CPR Certification
- At least 1 year of dental experience preferred (but not required)
- A caring personality and enthusiasm for patient education
Working Conditions
- Balance of standing (60%) and sitting (40%)
- Moderate background noise from dental/lab equipment
- Frequent bending and movement in a clinical setting
