We are hiring Dental Hygienists at our West, Waunakee, Campus (Regent St.), East, and Verona locations.

Job Purpose

Conduct oral examinations, serve as a preventative care specialist, and provide educational, clinical, and therapeutic services supporting total health through the promotion of optimal oral health. Utilize your knowledge and clinical skills to assist dentists and provide dental hygiene care for patients.

Essential Functions

  • Perform clinical responsibilities such as chart reviews, oral examinations, dental x-rays, prophylaxis, applying cavity prevention agents, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Educate patients on oral health, proper care, and treatment explanations.
  • Practice infection control procedures and maintain dental equipment and supplies.
  • Assist dental team members with procedures and patient care as needed.
  • Provide periodontal treatments, including scaling, root planning, and administering local anesthesia.
  • Attend continuing education to maintain licensure.
  • Deliver excellent patient service, communicate effectively, and support team collaboration.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
  • Wisconsin Dental Hygiene License
  • Certification to administer local anesthesia

Experience: No previous experience required, but must hold an active Wisconsin Dental Hygiene License.

Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality; knowledge of dental health causes and treatments.

Certifications: Dental hygiene certification, CPR, OSHA, and ongoing continuing education.

Additional Details

Work hours: 34-40 hours/week. Physical ability to perform dental hygiene tasks and work in a high-noise, chemical, and biological hazard environment. Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
