CVOR Registered Nurse Jobs – Locum Tenens Travel Nursing Opportunity in San Francisco, CA

San Francisco Nursing Job Details

• Location: San Francisco, CA (ZIP 94131) – California nursing jobs in a world-class city with diverse neighborhoods and coastal attractions.
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens travel nursing contract
• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), 5 shifts per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/16/2025 – End: 12/16/2025)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Coverage: Variable, typically once per month
• Orientation: 24 hours of orientation plus 8 hours of modules included
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2450 - $2620 per week
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• BSN required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including at least 2 years in the Operating Room (OR)
• Cardiac surgery experience required
• Recent travel nursing experience (within last 12 months)
• Proficient in scrubbing and circulating cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Strong clinical skills in general surgery and abdominal transplant procedures
• AHA BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting system
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Preferred: ACLS, CNOR certification, prior teaching hospital experience
  
  

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and general surgical procedures
• Float to UCSF healthcare facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
• Deliver care for adult and geriatric patients in a 28-room OR unit
• Utilize advanced surgical equipment, including Da Vinci Xi Robot
• Participate in liver and kidney transplants, bariatric procedures, emergency GYN, and more
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (radiology, pharmacy, interpretation services)
• Maintain high standards of infection control, safety, and patient advocacy
• Complete required modules and ongoing training for orientation and annual compliance
