Overview

Registered Nurse for the MMH 7 Unit at Moffitt Cancer Center. This 24-bed unit provides a dynamic working environment that specializes in gynecology, sarcoma, thoracic, breast, and plastic surgery patients. The nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team. We offer quarterly educational workshops.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families. Integrates patient- and family-centered care and the principles of Duffy's quality caring model.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participates in evidence-based improvement activities related to the area of practice.
• Participates in professional development based on nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.

The Ideal Candidate

• 1 year of inpatient hospital experience.
• Medical-Surgical experience as a registered nurse.
• Good customer service for patient interaction.

Credentials And Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered. Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) – current licensure as an RN in the State of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
