*Salary: $100K - $130K annually (Depending on Experience)*
Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse:
- Works in conjunction with the DNS in supervising the restorative nursing and wound care programs.
- Review new or worsening wounds.
- Reviews pressure ulcer prevention interventions.
- Makes recommendations relating to pressure relieving devices.
- Coordinate wound care with interdisciplinary team (dietitian, rehab services, social service, nursing).
- Develop nursing care plans for residents at risk or currently with skin integrity issues, including treatment protocols.
- Conduct weekly wound rounds with wound care consultant(s)/provider and conduct MD and family notifications and follow-up (care plan updates, etc.).
- Provide resident and staff education. Work collaboratively with Physical therapy and nursing staff to maintain nursing rehabilitation programs.
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent leadership skills.
- Must have current New York State RN License.
- Must have long-term care experience.
- Must have experience as a RN Wound Care Nurse.
- Must have Certified Wound Care Nurse Certification.
