Overview

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery, with supervision on our weekend shift. You will educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible, well-trained professional able to provide high quality nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently while promoting patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observe and interpret patients\' symptoms and communicate them to physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, injections, etc.) and maintain patient charts
• Adjust and administer medications and provide treatments according to physician\'s orders
• Maintain hygiene and safety in facilities (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
• Provide immediate medical care in emergencies
• Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families
• Expand knowledge by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.

Qualifications / Skills

• Proven experience as a registered nurse
• Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and emergency care
• Strong understanding of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) and ability to follow them
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible and compassionate
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Problem-solving skills and patience
• BSc or equivalent nursing diploma
• Valid nursing license
