Overview

Essential job functions and requirements for the Skilled Mechanic - Night Shift position in maintenance for production and facilities equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance related tasks as assigned by the Maintenance supervisor on shift
• Respond to emergency “break down” calls, make needed repairs as quickly as possible while maintaining a safe work environment
• Complete Preventive Maintenance (PM’s) on production and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot all issues, make needed repairs and establish root cause
• Present findings from root cause and discuss future corrective actions needed, with Maintenance Supervisor
• Proficient mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial equipment and tools (e.g., belts, sprockets, chains, bearings, pulleys) to complete tasks independently
• Be able to get certified and safely operate all PIV’s (e.g., Forklifts, Cranes, Aerial Lifts)
• General labor and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical/industrial discipline or accredited institution preferred
• Years of Experience: 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent required; 3+ years preferred; knowledge in principles of mechanical/maintenance, equipment and tools preferred
• Other Requirements: Punctual and consistent attendance; able to work beyond scheduled hours as needed; works in a safe manner and in compliance with EHS policies and procedures; able to work independently or in a team; ability to complete ongoing training and development
