Salary: $80,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to optimize safety, quality, delivery, and cost initiatives.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and metrics.
- Engage in training, coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations of the hourly workforce.
- Identify and lead continuous process improvements such as efficiency enhancements, scrap reduction, and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Handle multiple project timelines effectively, overseeing their progress and execution.
- Address technical equipment issues and ensure operational continuity.
- Make necessary adjustments in the ERP system related to scheduling and material management.
- Collaborate closely with HR and staffing services to maintain manpower goals by attracting and recruiting talent.
- Adjust coordination with planning and shipping departments as required.
- Ensure smooth shift transitions by completing detailed reports and effectively communicating with incoming supervisors.
- Work with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and troubleshoot downtime issues.
- Provide regular updates to management on project progress and production statuses.
- Perform other duties as directed by management, ensuring all manufacturing goals and standards are met.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is necessary; recent graduates with relevant experience will be considered.
- At least 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing supervision depending on educational background.
- Proven ability to oversee production in a high-volume and/or mass-production environment.
- Experience managing a team size of at least 15 individuals.
- Familiarity with non-union labor management environments.
- Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives such as scrap reduction and downtime elimination.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean or Six Sigma certifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in consumer products manufacturing.
- ERP system expertise.
- Knowledge of process-oriented manufacturing.
- Experience in automated manufacturing environments.
