Manufacturing Associate - Night Shift at Marvin Composites, Salem, VA. Marvin Composites designs and crafts pultruded fiberglass composite materials. Highlights of your role

Production Associates are hired into one of two tracks based on interest, skills, and experience:

• Pultrusion Operators – run a production line, manage material flow, machine setup and operation, troubleshoot, and mentor new associates. Requires basic math and computer skills.
• Pultrusion Inspectors – inspect finished goods, prepare shipping labels, pack products, monitor quality to meet specifications, and prepare equipment/materials for production. Requires basic math and computer skills.

Schedule

Overnights: 6:30 PM – 6:45 AM. Work 7 out of 14 days every two weeks; every other weekend includes a 3-day weekend off. Normal schedule: 36 hours one week (Sun/Wed/Thu) and 48 hours the next (Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat).

Pay

Base: $20.00 – $24.13/hr. Night Shift Differential: $2.00/hr. Weekend Premium: $4.00/hr (Fri – Sun). Earn an effective wage of $24.95 – $29.28/hr DOE and position. Pay for experience may apply.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Outstanding attendance
• Ability to think and learn on the job, effective communication skills, and basic computer skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and reach for 12-hour shifts
• Ability to pass a basic skills assessment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting specifications

Additional qualifications

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull objects weighing 10–50 lbs
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment (PLC controlled) or willingness to learn
