8221 Night Shift Timekeeper Job at Mt. Olive Pickles Co. in Mount Olive

Keep our night operations running smoothly! As a night shift timekeeper, you'll monitor, enter, and modify data, generate routine and requested reports using an electronic timekeeping system.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Monitor, enter, and modify data, and generate reports using an electronic timekeeping system.
• Generate attendance reports to determine employee absences or missed punches. Coordinate with supervisors to code absences or manually adjust punch times.
• Initiate changes to job codes and shop orders to ensure accurate labor costing.
• Notify supervisors of excessive overtime, absences, tardiness, etc.
• Respond to management inquiries regarding attendance and staffing.
• Provide employees and leads with time information for specific days or weeks.
• Verify employee eligibility for vacation, funeral leave, etc., based on accrued time and company policy.
• Maintain various production reports as requested by management.
• Create replacement badges as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.

Other Duties

• Occasionally serve as Receptionist.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks.
• Participate in training, meetings, committees, and project teams as needed.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Typically office conditions with access to confidential data. Some exposure to plant conditions. Hairnet and earplugs may be required.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High school diploma plus additional training. Basic math skills required. Above-average 10-key experience. Preferred staffing experience. Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of standard and specialized software. Clear, pleasant voice for telephone duties. Fluent in English; conversational Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Reaching, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
