Summary

This position is responsible for the packaging of manufactured products. Packer responsibilities support several areas of manufacturing, including injection molding, IML, quality and assembly. We are seeking an innovative thinker who is passionate about the planet and eager to contribute to sustainable packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety procedures
  • Visually inspect, box finished goods as necessary, and palletize to customer specifications
  • Use lifting assist devices where applicable
  • Tape and box for work centers to maintain proper quantity
  • Monitor quality, deviations, and compare against comparators
  • Document daily production values, including scrap quantities and reasons
  • Operate pallet jack; push/pull full pallets and transport to elevator
  • Perform cleaning/housekeeping and maintain 5S in assigned area
  • Stack cartons on pallets (25–40 lbs)
  • Notify shift leader or technical staff if a workcenter has issues or stops cycling
  • Assist with flow of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods
  • Participate in training of new employees
  • Support and maintain company policies including ISO standards, health & safety, continuous improvement, and standard work procedures
  • Report unsafe conditions and behaviors

Qualifications

  • Excellent attendance; on-time and ready to contribute
  • Safety & quality conscious; act in a consistently safe manner
  • Responsible, self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Flexible work schedule; overtime as needed
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic visual quality inspections
  • Production environment with long periods of standing
  • Ability to lift 25–40 lbs repeatedly and use a pallet jack
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and coach others
  • Time and resource management to ensure efficient work
  • Adaptable to changing work assignments

Additional Info

Night Shift Packer/Inspector – 12 hour shift. Sign-on bonus: $600.00
