Job Description
Position: Night shift Maintenance Technician
Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 5th shift, Wed-Sat 6pm-6am or Thurs-Sun 6pm-6am
Status: Hourly
Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to 715 Supervisor
Location: Mentor / Painesville, OH
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent. Electrical degree or certification preferred.
Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity. Dependable with strong attendance. Team-oriented problem solving. Strong sense of urgency. Motivated self-starter able to work independently. Positive attitude and good communication with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
Work Experience: General knowledge of vacuum furnace operation and repair. Experience in general maintenance of plant equipment. Experience in robotic maintenance and/or programming a plus. Background in hydraulics, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, and soldering. Proven track record in a team environment. Significant experience in post cast manufacturing product processing. Previous training experience. Preferred 3-5 years' experience with general maintenance of plant equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Principal Area of Responsibility: With minimal supervision, keep all equipment/machinery in the plant functioning, troubleshoot problems as they arise, and implement preventative maintenance.
Specific Duties:
- Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the MSDS and company policy.
- Maintain and repair production process equipment including vacuum furnaces, boilerclaves, conveyors, wax press, and robotic cells.
- Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical/hydraulic problems to minimize downtime.
- Proficient in robot operation and perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Perform duties of Maintenance position and assist in other plant maintenance work as required by supervisor.
- Repair and maintain other plant equipment as experience indicates.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere and effective communication with staff and supervisors.
- Observe all safety requirements and perform preventative maintenance to all process equipment.
- Housekeeping and organization as required; perform other duties as requested by manager, ensuring safety compliance.
- Limited construction/installation of equipment.
- PLC troubleshooting and light programming.
- Work in various areas such as electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe fitting, welding, and soldering.
- Operate maintenance equipment including forklift trucks, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
- Repair, service, and maintain equipment at outside vendors, suppliers, customers, and other PCC locations.
- Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.

- The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity and tight deadlines.
- Physical surroundings vary in temperature, work position, physical effort, and cleanliness.
