Overview
Ocean Spray is hiring for a Manufacturing Night Shift Supervisor. The role leads team members to accomplish plant-specific objectives, trains and coaches the team, leads continuous improvement projects, and fosters cooperation between departments. The supervisor develops flexible production plans, manages personnel workflow, and adheres to FSQA initiatives while maintaining a safe and effective work environment and positive employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Train, develop, coach and appraise team members.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering cooperation within and between departments.
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results on shift production summaries.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Develop plans and organize work to exceed daily standard production rates while maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory and quality standards.
- Lead or support assigned teams in continuous improvement projects.
- Perform administrative tasks such as vacation, payroll, discipline, and performance review management and help monitor the labor and operations budget.
- Provide leadership and direction to an operations team (packaging, line maintenance, materials handling and processing) including execution of production schedule, management of planned and unplanned events, performance management, training, administrative responsibilities, budget management, maintenance support, process control coordination, quality assurance, reliability, sanitation, and positive employee relations.

Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor\'s or University Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience
