Maintenance Supervisor - Night Shift Job at Nesco Resource in Cincinnati

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 11PM-7AM
As a pivotal team member, you will ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our Cincinnati, OH facility. Your focus will be on optimizing equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and enhancing safety protocols. You'll lead a team of skilled mechanics and electricians to execute preventative maintenance and perform breakdown repairs. Initially, this role will start on the day shift, with the potential to transition to a different shift over time to ensure seamless operations.
You will collaborate closely with leadership across the site, including Maintenance and Operations Managers, to implement improvements in equipment performance. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position offers career growth potential, either towards roles such as Maintenance Planners or Schedulers.
A Taste of What You'll Be Doing
- Set the Pace: Establish work plans that support and improve plant equipment reliability.
- Strategize to Win: Direct, train, and develop maintenance team members for the assigned area/shift.
- Drive Efficiency and Impact Results: Identify opportunities to eliminate cost and/or waste by applying LEAN manufacturing principles. Use problem-solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate maintenance issues.
- Take a New Angle: Identify, implement, and document maintenance and reliability best practices to foster a continuous improvement mindset across the site.
Skills
- Strong technical aptitude along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP.
- Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others and work with employees at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of maintenance plant experience.
- High School Diploma or GED with related work experience.
