Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare materials specified on the work order to be produced on the laminating machine.
  • Follow and write policies for safety and work practices. Communicate with a positive attitude and maintain good attendance.
  • Work closely with the Laminator Operator in the production process.
  • Support Laminator Operator in setting up and production in the lamination department.
  • Transport laminated, raw material, and printed material throughout the warehouse using a forklift.
  • Handle adhesives and other food-grade chemicals with appropriate PPE; work around moving parts, nip rollers, and ovens.
  • Load/unload printed and laminated rolls, adjust shafts for core sizes, and install adhesive and antifog as required.
  • Record raw material waste and recycling; label finished and returned stock materials accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness during shift transitions and participate in scheduled cleaning and preventative maintenance.
  • Enter measurements and quality check specifications into production workbook; coordinate with other departments for lamination processes.
  • Maintain safety as the top priority and assist in establishing standard operating procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Flex hours to support a multi-shift operation; work in a non-climate-controlled facility with exposure to chemicals and physical requirements.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic machines; preferably 1 year manufacturing experience; basic computer skills; mechanically inclined.
  • Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Compensation

  • The starting rate of pay for this position is $18.00 per hour; starting pay may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
