Position: Material Handler

The Material Handler is responsible for tasks involving physical labor in a manufacturing plant and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools, including sit-down forklifts and EPJ. The Material Handler will ensure the efficient handling of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies to ensure profitable business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver raw materials to production lines as needed
  • Operate ERP systems to manage raw materials
  • Handle material issues to minimize losses caused by line shutdowns
  • Perform all activities with the highest ethical standards in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Able to work the continental shift pattern: 2x2x3, 12-hour shifts
  • Experience with SAP and ERP systems
  • Experience operating electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts
  • Inventory control skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving production or materials handling
  • Ability to complete the responsibilities listed above
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
