JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Housekeeping Staff at The Elmont is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the resort’s public areas, including the resort’s outlets, event center, and outdoor spaces. The role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently to maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction.
REPORTS TO: General Manager
LOCATION: The Elmont
PAY / GRADE LEVEL: Hourly / Non-Exempt
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean all areas of the resort, including the Evaga, event center, office space, and other public outlets.
- Perform deep cleaning of the cabanas, outdoor bathrooms, and patio furniture.
- Empty trash bins and ensure all areas are free of waste and debris.
- Turn in lost and found items in accordance with the resort's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Conduct walk-throughs of all public areas to ensure cleanliness and address any additional cleaning needs.
- Practice safe work habits to ensure the safety of both guests and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is typically performed indoors and outdoors at the resort. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves a majority of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, and some lifting up to 50 lbs.
