Summary of Housekeeping Environmental Services Lead (EVS)

The Housekeeping Environmental Services Lead maintains the cleanliness of the facility in a safe, sanitary, orderly, and attractive manner, free from offensive odors. Performs daily cleaning of patient areas, nursing stations, work areas, halls, lounges, storage areas, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and other assigned areas, following standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and facility objectives.

Responsibilities

• Select cleaning materials, load service carts, and clean assigned areas
• Clean equipment and notify management of repairs needed
• May collect hazardous waste and transport it in a closed container for sterilization
• Collect and distribute linen, including clean and soiled linen

Requirements/Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an Environmental Services position

Must be able to clearly communicate in written and verbal messages
