Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor at the Beren Campus oversees daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning academic facilities, labs, offices, cafeterias, and dormitories. Responsibilities also include campus event set-ups and coordinating projects with maintenance supervisors.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Sunday 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise night shift housekeeping staff to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of campus areas
  2. Ensure necessary set-ups for morning programming
  3. Assign tasks to staff
  4. Respond to campus facility emergencies at all times
  5. Discipline employees in coordination with Human Resources as needed
  6. Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Associate's Degree and/or 3-5 years of experience in a diverse housekeeping environment
  • Knowledge of union guidelines and operating procedures
  • Experience in higher education is preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Clear communication skills, both in one-on-one and group settings
  • Proactive information sharing with internal and external contacts
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with peers, students, and staff
  • Responsibility for addressing issues and monitoring resolution
  • Effective time and resource management
  • Customer service orientation
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
  • Self-motivated and driven to increase knowledge and certifications

Application Details:

Salary Range: $64,000 - $66,000
