Responsibilities
- Provide courteous, personalized guest service by responding promptly to inquiries, requests, and complaints using guest service skills; strive to exceed guest expectations.
- Resolve difficult or unusual guest problems while maintaining good guest relationships and taking corrective action.
- Maintain open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.
- Assist Housekeeping leadership with opening and PM shifts, uniform control, guest requests, monthly meetings, quality assurance in public spaces and guest rooms, linen and supply inventories, scheduling, Kronos and payroll cost controls.
- Monitor housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels are maintained.
- Inspect cleaning and servicing of all guestrooms and inspect vacant rooms daily.
- Prepare and complete reports (VIPs, Due-Outs, V/Ds, etc.).
- Identify cleaning defects and reassign them to the responsible Guest Room Attendant.
- Oversee Housemen and ensure daily duties are completed; assist in overseeing the Laundry Department and its functions.
- Participate in energy conservation efforts and maintain Omni standards of cleanliness and guest experience.
- Maintain a highly motivated and trained staff committed to excellence in service and cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Prior Housekeeping Supervisory/Management experience required.
- Experience in an upscale, full-service hotel environment strongly preferred.
- Ability to teach employees how to interact with guests and solve internal requests courteously.
- Ability to set priorities, provide feedback, and improve performance.
- Clear and pleasant written and verbal English communication with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage quick turns and high occupancies.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds; stand or walk for extended periods; repetitive motion of arms/hands/legs; may work indoors or outdoors.
- Bilingual preferred
