Overview

Housekeeping Aide, Springville NY — Full Time. Days.

Compensation: $16.12 - $17.29/hour, based on experience. Shift differential $0.80. $500 Sign-on bonus!

Our Housekeepers are responsible for upkeep of all facilities. We perform general cleaning, sanitizing and housekeeping duties protecting the health and safety of the patients, visitors, and staff.

Duties

• Utilizes established infection control and standard precaution techniques in the performance of all duties; Cleans surfaces and fixtures throughout the facility according to established policies and procedures.
• Collects medical waste. Prepares cleaning equipment for isolation.
• Maintains closets, carts, linen, trash, recyclables, and medical waste storage areas, and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. Damp dusts, washes walls and doors.
• Responsible collection of soiled linen and laundry, and distributing clean items.
• Maintains stock levels for each department
• Performs second round check of above duties before leaving for the day to ensure cleanliness and adequate levels are being met.
• May operate floor buffer and carpet extractor.

Qualifications

• HS/GED is preferred
• Previous history of stable employment
• Previous commercial cleaning experience strongly preferred.
• Fingerprint background check required prior to hire
• Must be available to work weekend and holiday rotations.
• Physical requirements of the role: stand, climb, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Must utilize step ladder and/or balance. Must occasionally lift 25-50 pounds and/or push/pull up to 150-250 pounds.
