Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest room areas according to company procedures and standards.

Essential Job Functions

This description summarizes primary responsibilities and qualifications. The hotel operates 24/7, so shift times and days may vary.

  1. Stock housekeeping carts with necessary supplies and amenities.
  2. Observe knocking procedures before entering guest rooms.
  3. Clean assigned guest rooms, ensuring amenities are stocked and checklists are completed.
  4. Mark rooms as clean for supervisor inspection.
  5. Report damages or hazards in guest rooms.
  6. Secure guest room doors upon exit.
  7. Maintain cleanliness in corridors and service areas.
  8. Return lost items and guest room keys.
  9. Adhere to all policies and safety procedures.
  10. Follow fire prevention and emergency protocols.
  11. Use protective equipment as required.
  12. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or property issues.
  13. Maintain a neat appearance as per standards.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned and assist team members as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to bend, reach, dust, and make beds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness and left-behind belongings.
  • Use written communication to document work.
  • Perform cleaning duties efficiently.

Physical Demands

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and visual tasks.
