Responsibilities
Job Summary
The EVS Lead supervises staff to ensure cleanliness, quality, and service standards are met. The role involves compliance with cleaning, waste removal, and infection control protocols. The number of staff supervised varies, and the Lead provides floor supervision, staffing, and reports to departmental leadership. Staff work is performed as needed.
Essential Functions
- Lead and oversee Environmental Services staff, coordinating staffing for regular and special projects, and reassigning during shortages.
- Train staff on equipment, ensure adherence to employee retention programs, and document disciplinary issues for managerial review.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance, ensuring proper supply levels and equipment maintenance.
- Perform duties as assigned to address staffing shortages or operational needs.
- Allocate resources within budget guidelines and maintain relationships with key personnel, conducting inspections and follow-up.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (in process acceptable)
- Preferred: College courses or vocational training
Experience
- Required: 1 year Environmental Service experience
- Preferred: Leadership, healthcare, or related supervisory experience
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Minimum age 21
