Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor Opportunity at Washington Healthcare Center
The Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor plays a key role in providing the residents, staff and public with a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment by planning, organizing, and directing the housekeeping and laundry staff operations in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead and motivate others to follow proper safety and environmental regulations. Monitor, teach, mentor and supervise housekeeping and laundry aides on a daily basis.
- Teamwork: Work toward a common goal of excellent care for our residents.
- Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to provide cleaning and laundry services.
- Supportive Presence: Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
Requirements
- Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers and staff: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence.
- One year of experience in an institutional housekeeping department.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
