As a Machinist with Aptar you will:
- Perform custom and repair machining of plant related equipment (builds/rebuilds machinery) as a support to the Manufacturing department
- Troubleshoot high speed assembly equipment, and produce spare parts for assembly equipment
- Produce clear/accurate sketches, must be able to read mechanical blueprints
- Perform calibrations, must be able to machine parts to close tolerances (+/-.0005) using conventional tool room equipment (mill, drill press, chop saw, lathe, push and pull broaches, surface grinder, etc.)
- Cut, shape and fabricate tools
- Regularly clean and maintain machinery
- Must be familiar with machining ferrous, non-ferrous and synthetic materials and alloys
- Must have general machinist hand tools (micrometers, calipers, indicator, edge-finder, square, scale, wrenches, screwdrivers, mallet, hammer, etc and locking toolbox)

General Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong analytical skills
- High attention to detail
- Must be capable of performing trigonometric functions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally during shift
- CNC set up/programming /CNC mill/lathe operation and/or set up experience a plus
- Tig welding and brazing experience a plus
