Production Specialist - 3rd Shift at Heaven Hill Brands

Overview

This is a full time, onsite position at our Bardstown Bottling Plant. Schedule: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Sunday - Thursday (Periodic overtime on weekends required). Pay Rate: Starting at $22.87/hour plus $0.25 shift differential.

What the Role Is

The 3rd Shift Production Specialist will be responsible for a variety of manufacturing related tasks in the Bardstown Bottling Plant.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Inspect bottles to ensure the quality of the packaging as the bottles move down the bottling line at a maximum of 280 bottles per minute.
• Repair bottles weighing between 2-8 pounds when necessary, including repairing bad caps, replacing scuffed labels, removing and straightening labels as needed. Use of a utility knife and scraper will be required.
• Setup and clean glue machines used for the labeling of bottles; must be able to assemble the glue machine. Assembly can be done without tools. A lift of 5-20 pounds will be required to assemble the machine.
• Work closely with team members to ensure packaging meets quality standards and be able to explain quality issues to team members as well as Supervisors.

Who You Are…

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of work related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Successful completion of required Bennett Mechanical testing
• Highly motivated, energetic, and reliable
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Must pass background check, drug screen & physical
• Knowledge of manufacturing and production work environment
• Stable and consistent work history that demonstrates an excellent work ethic, excellent attendance, and the ability to produce a quality product safely

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, reach, push, pull and lift. Employee will be required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects and reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
