Responsibilities

• Stack product cases on pallets.
• Verify carton weight to ensure correct case count prior to palletizing.
• Perform product inspection for damage or conformity to specifications.
• Move empty pallets with assistance or pallet jack when needed.
• Secure completed pallets with shrink wrap.
• Print Handling Unit labels on pallets as built and affix to the bottom portion of the pallet using the RF gun.
• Record pallet production numbers on the Case Count sheet; record employee sale cases on the Case Count sheet.
• Staging packing material line side; assist packaging operations as needed.
• Monitor tape to ensure flaps are sealed properly; verify bar code and lot number against the process order form.
• Identify and remove damaged cases from the line.
• Direct packaging helpers assigned to palletizing operations.
• Report equipment problems and inventory discrepancies to Foreman or Supervisor.
• Help train new employees or employees changing job classifications.
• Maintain food safety and quality by reporting and preventing contamination; uphold GMPs and sanitation.
• Perform other packaging duties as necessary.
• Responsible for the Quality and Food Safety functions within the designated department as assigned by management and the Quality Department.
• Promote safety by following procedures and reporting all accidents promptly.
• Demonstrate company values in actions.
• Be physically and mentally prepared to work in a substance-free environment.

Qualifications / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English for interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and quality assurance correspondence.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, anticipate and correct problems associated with plant operations.
• Computer literacy, SAP and RFGen.
• Ability to perform duties independently, with little to no supervision, as required.
• Forklift/electric pallet jack/manlift certification is required.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and other duties as assigned.
• Required to work overtime or weekends depending on production needs.

Pay Rate: $22.15/hr
