Amphenol is hiring: CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift in Village of Sidney

Overview

The CNC Machinist will report to the Machining Supervisor and perform machining duties in the manufacturing environment at Amphenol Aerospace Operations, Mesa, AZ. This is a 3rd shift role in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in CNC machining and secondary equipment
• Assist Production Supervisors with all aspects of KPI requirements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost)
• Active participant and advocate of Lean & 5S culture company-wide
• Follow in-process quality inspections and collaborate with team members to ensure total quality
• Aid planning & engineering with feedback to optimize productivity
• Provide translation service for team members when required
• Ensure usage of correct gauging, hand measuring tools & metrology equipment to deliver high-quality components
• Support preventative maintenance of equipment and report machine issues to the production supervisor

Location

Mesa, AZ (approximately 25 minutes from Phoenix, AZ)

The Person: Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of lathe production experience on CNC & related production equipment
• Ability to read and understand job layouts, blueprints, schematics and work from written and verbal job instructions
• Strict time management with self and others to support a productive work environment, including providing hourly production stats to shift supervisor and implementing quick corrective actions
• Excellent attendance
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to work on a busy manufacturing floor
