Nesco Resource is hiring: Production Operator - 3rd Shift in Holden

Overview

Production Operator - 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am. Position is responsible for the setup and operation of equipment which blends/mixes/packages/transports liquid or dry chemicals that comprise our customer products. Ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible costs while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with *** Corporation policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start and run all machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures and ISO standards.
• Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and insert into machinery, or ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and insert pre-blended materials into machinery.
• Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
• Operate machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials according to operating procedures.
• Examine materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.
• Take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and follow instructions on any batch adjustments if needed.
• Refer issues/problems to Production Lead or Production/Shift Supervisor for disposition.
• Perform all required machine cleaning.
• Complete and maintain all required system inputs/transactions. Ensure data integrity.
• Document work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.
• Participate in training, retraining and continual improvement processes and methods.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Cross Functional - Plastics Industry (1 year); Manufacturing - Colorant (1 year); Manufacturing - Mixing (1 year); Manufacturing - Extrusion (1 year); Manufacturing - Blending (1 year); Manufacturing - Industrial Operations (1 year); Manufacturing - Mechanical (1 year); Cross Functional - Problem Solving Techniques (1 year)
• Skills and Certifications: Personal Skills - Manual Dexterity (Intermediate); Personal Skills - Quantitative Skills (Intermediate); Personal Skills - Reading/Comprehension (Intermediate); Software Skills - Microsoft Office (Intermediate); Microsoft Word (Intermediate); Internet (Intermediate); Microsoft Excel (Intermediate); Personal Skills - Conflict Resolution Skills (Intermediate)
