Responsibilities

  • The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing the efforts of the warehouse operations staff. Coordinate work to minimize downtime, review daily personnel needs, and recommend OT and reductions in hours as needed.
  • Help oversee shipments, ensuring quality product and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with other Supervisors, as well as the Inside Sales and Production Planning departments to determine machine scheduling based on customer delivery dates, material availability, processing requirements, and logical methods of distribution.

Qualifications

  • Heavy industrial setting in a supervisory role; steel service-center experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to both lead and mentor others
  • Experience with Slitting, Cut to Length, and Ancillary Devices preferred
  • High energy and drive with stellar communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong administrative support and computer skills (Microsoft Suite, ERP Systems)
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels in the company
  • Ability to work OT as needed, including weekends
  • Ability to work on 3rd shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am, Sunday-Thursday
