Light Maintenance - 3rd Shift role at Bay Towel
Seeking a role where your efforts shape the functionality of our spaces? Want to work where your skills are valued and your problem-solving abilities are put to the test? We have an opening for an additional family member to join our maintenance department. The schedule would be Sunday-Thursday (Friday morning) 9:00pm-5:00am.
Responsibilities
- Blowing down & removing lint from dryers on a nightly basis.
- Performing light preventive maintenance tasks that includes cleaning walls using scissor lift, greasing, cleaning & inspecting assigned finishing equipment, inspecting & repairing cabinets, etc.
- Emptying waste & recycling containers throughout the plant and outside at employee entrances.
- Changing roll towels in restrooms.
- Replacing ceiling tiles, changing light bulbs, painting, & other general maintenance related duties.
- Snow removal at doorways & employee entrances.
- Providing fire watch assistance & assisting the Maintenance Technicians with equipment repairs.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Able to stand for extended periods, and bend & twist frequently.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position.

Preferred Education & Experience
- Previous general maintenance helper, janitorial or sanitation experience is preferred.
- Proficient with use of basic hand tools (all tools necessary for performing these job duties are provided by the company).
- Previous experience cleaning in an industrial setting.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must also be dependable, have a strong work ethic & a commitment to working safely.
