A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems in production machinery and equipment. Your fabrication and welding skills assist in repairs. You also perform preventative maintenance to ensure everything functions properly. Participating in the design, fabrication, and relocation of machinery is an exciting aspect of your role. What You Bring:

• Strong mechanical skills
• Good troubleshooting skills and willingness to further develop skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Knowledge of electronics, wiring up to 480 volts, machine/motion controls, HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, packaging, and labeling equipment
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, labels, and MSDS
• Welding skills compliant with USDA/WDA standards
• Ability to operate forklifts, boom, and platform lifts
• Experience with computerized maintenance systems
• Ability to work at heights using ladders and lifts
• Reliable attendance is required
