Overview

THE ROLE: This position will report to the Supervisor. Location: Bakersfield, CA. FLSA Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt. Shift: 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am). Employment Category: Full-Time Temporary. Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.00/hr. Travel: None.

Responsibilities

• Hand pack and stack boxes on a pallet in an organized manner throughout the shift
• Perform quality checks on product to ensure proper and accurate labeling
• Ensure “best by” date is correct and notify Supervisor of any discrepancies
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment free of debris
• Openly communicate with co-workers to inform them of unusual or potentially dangerous conditions
• Assist in other areas of the facility as needed
• Support equipment operators in changeover conveyor railings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School/GED or 1–2 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience

• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
• Capability to use required tools to perform job duties
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
• Proactive mindset with ability to apply common sense and sound judgment with minimal supervision
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on a production line in a food/beverage company
• 1 year of experience in a production environment

Physical Demands

• Exposure to wet and humid conditions
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
• Must be able to lift/push-pull/carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Exposure to extreme cold temperatures (34°F or below)
