Job Title: Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)

Location: Buffalo, NY

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Position: Maintenance Technician

Hourly Rate: $30/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours: 5pm-2am

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on plant machinery.
  • Respond to maintenance calls and repair machinery.
  • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
  • Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and confined spaces.
  • Ensure safe and proper use of tools and equipment, ensure hand tools are free of defects; maintain neat and orderly work areas, including proper storage/disposal of lubricants, solvents, paint, and other chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA and SQF.
  • Responsibilities for specific systems may include but are not limited to: HVAC, boilers, air handling units, PLC and industrial PC control devices (Allen Bradley), servo motors, conveyance systems, pneumatic, mechanical drives and natural gas fueled ovens.

Ideal Candidate

  • Machine maintenance experience is required.
  • Ability to follow directions, all safety procedures, and complete tasks designated by supervisor.
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of computer technology and programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of 3-phase electricity.
  • Welding knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and communicate with a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
